About the project

"The phrase 'ولا غالب إلا الله' means that true strength and power ultimately belong to God alone. It expresses the belief that God is the absolute ruler in all matters and that any victory or success achieved is due to God’s guidance and support. This phrase provides us with faith, strength, and inspiration. In this project, I aimed to blend the beauty of Arabic vocabulary with the simplicity of Japanese style, creating a design that forms a decorative pattern mixing swirling Arabesque and sparkling Islamic stars with Seigaha waves, cherry blossoms, and Zangokuzushi designs. The design relies heavily on the interplay of Arabic and Japanese calligraphy, with added effects that enhance the distinct Japanese character. We must not overlook the importance of the paper used, as mulberry paper adds a natural touch that enriches the aesthetics, while the bamboo kakejiku enhances the sense of harmony between tradition and modernity, completing the design's coherence with the space."
